Application:
Joint designed for connecting single-core cables with polyethylene insulation of type YH(A)KX(S), XH(A)KXS, XUH(A)KXS, XRUH(A)KXS, NA2XS(F)2Y with rated voltage of 8.7/15 kV and 12/20 kV. Technical assessment of the product for compliance with the PN-E-06401-04:1990 standard.
Construction:
  • Connection of the working core using a thick-walled, pressed or screw connector
  • Reconstruction of proper insulation using EPR self-vulcanizing insulating tape
  • Field control using control blades
  • Reconstruction of the semiconductive screen using EPR self-vulcanizing semiconductive tape and tinned copper braid
  • Return wire connection using a pressed connector
  • Reconstruction of the external coating using PVC sealing tape with mastic, acting as protection against moisture and mechanical damage
Properties:
  • Efficient and uncomplicated installation
  • The technology does not require making control cones on single-core cables
  • Making a sleeve without the need to use cone sharpeners and heat sources, e.g. a gas burner
  • Two types of joints for a wide range of core cross-sections
  • Laying directly in the ground or in cable ducts
Composition:
  • The set is a complete set for one or three cores. The cardboard box contains all the necessary elements to make a sleeve connection along with assembly instructions and material specifications
  • The set does not include connectors for connecting working wires. Connectors can be ordered additionally
