Debarkers

Debarkers for removing outer layers

Application:

  • Cable Semiconductive Layer Removal Tool – quickly and easily removes the semiconductive layer.
  • cables for voltages from 5 to 35 kV.
  • The unique blade shape ensures a smooth insulation surface, eliminating the need for deburring or additional surface finishing. Thanks to its optimal stability, the tool safely removes the semiconducting layer from cables with an insulation diameter ranging from 18 mm to 60 mm.

Characteristics:

  • The compact design enables precise removal of residues within a 30 mm radius at mid-span and at the ends.
  • Precise blade depth adjustable in 0.1 mm increments.
  • Adjustment for cables with a diameter of 18 mm to 60 mm and a thickness of up to 2.4 mm.
  • The rotating, ergonomic handle and adjustment knobs reduce physical effort and potential strain. They can be comfortably operated while wearing protective gloves.
  • A system for maintaining a fixed position at the edge, allowing the removal operation to be completed without the need for an additional clamp.
  • Easy-to-replace blades
Application: Tool for removing the outer sheath and insulation of a cable. Characteristics:
  • It eliminates the need for traditional stripping knives, reducing the risk of injury.
  • The durable tool easily removes coatings and various types of insulating materials.
  • Adjustment for cables with a diameter of 12.7 mm to 63.5 mm.
  • The patent-pending, self-adjusting design maintains an optimal blade position, ensuring precise cuts for reliable connections.
  • A well-balanced tool features low-friction components and ergonomic handles that reduce the effort and potential strain associated with repetitive wire stripping tasks.
  • Removable handles
Construction: Cable Type: Low and Medium Voltage (600 V to 35 kV). Replacement Blade Symbol: SMD13-63ATB Compatible material:
  • Sheath – cable bundle in a PE/PVC jacket; copper tape shielding.
  • Insulation – XLPE, PE, EPR
Symbol Cable Tension Cable diameter Layer thickness Cutting angle
SMC18-60ATB 5 kV to 35 kV 18 to 60 mm up to 2.4 mm 12°

Application:
The retaining clamp is an auxiliary tool used in conjunction with a tool for removing bonded semiconductive screens. It enables the precise positioning of the semiconductive layer remaining on the cable being processed, and also facilitates the creation of an even and smooth edge on the semiconductor.
Properties:

  • Minimum diameter over cable insulation: 8 mm
  • Maximum diameter over cable insulation: 51 mm
  • Narrow tool width
