Working on hybrid and electric vehicles entails elevated risks associated with high-voltage systems, reaching up to 800V AC. Therefore, the use of appropriate personal protective equipment is crucial for the mechanic’s safety.
The MO-286 face shield effectively protects the face and eyes against the effects of an electric arc, such as burns. Electrically insulating gloves safeguard the hands against direct contact with AC/DC voltage. Additional body protection is provided by an apron, which shields the electrician from the impact of an electric arc. The ensemble is completed by safety boots with insulating soles—tested up to 5 kV—which minimize the risk of electric shock while working in the workshop.
