Vibration dampers
Our solutions ensure the reliability and efficiency of energy supplies.
Conductor vibration is a natural phenomenon caused by the influence of wind and fluctuating atmospheric conditions. Prolonged vibration can lead to conductor fatigue, which consequently results in damage to conductors and hardware components. Our protective solutions for HV/LV conductors are designed to limit vibration amplitude and enhance the durability of the entire installation. A properly selected design allows for the effective absorption of vibration energy, thereby protecting conductors and connection points against excessive mechanical stress.
For years, we have been developing the Salvi brand, specializing in the design and manufacture of vibration absorption systems for the energy sector. SALVI undertakes technological projects considered among the most complex in the industry—endeavors that demand an experienced team of engineers, advanced laboratory equipment, and close collaboration between research institutions and academic centers. Our solutions, dedicated to HV/LV substations, enhance line operational reliability, extend infrastructure lifespan, and help maintain the stability of the power grid—even under demanding operating conditions.
Protecting the Lifespan of Station Equipment
- Dampers provide protection for conductors, extending the service life of HV/LV infrastructure.
- They ensure the almost complete, immediate dissipation of vibrations caused by the wind.
- They can be adapted on the lines at all existing stations.
- For simple and quick configuration.
- They ensure cost-effectiveness because you do not have to replace the cables.
Our dampers are designed for all voltage levels up to 400 kV; they are manufactured from an aluminum alloy, while the connecting components are made of A2-grade steel.
