MTRS - Mechanical repair joints for MV overhead bare lines
Application:
MTRS repair connectors are used to connect and repair
bare wires.
These are mid-span connectors with breakaway heads – for
use anywhere on the overhead line.

Construction:
Shear head screws with an appropriately high tightening torque press the wire through internal pressure plates to profiled plates with a unique wave shape along their entire length, ensuring both electrical (contact points) and mechanical (connection strength) reliability.
Special features:
- Only four types of connectors cover the range of cables with diameters Ø6 -25 mm.
- Shear head screws ensure appropriate and uniform pressure through a precisely defined torque value that will cause the head to shear when the appropriate level of force is reached.
- Allows you to connect different types of cables with different diameters (as long as they are within the same range).
- Lightning fast installation on AFL cables, without the need for separate core connection.
- Inspection and moisture drainage holes ensure self-cleaning.
- Simple installation – requires only a spanner or electric torque wrench.
